The top of each coaster is thin coating that accepts the image. Your image is baked into this coating. This creates a permanent image that is resistant to scratching, heat and impervious to water. The center section is a dense wood composite that is also impervious to water. The bottom of each coaster is natural cork. The cork stops the coaster from sliding on a table and protects the table from scratches as well. Excellent image reproduction quality.
